Faraje Kharsa opened up the first iTAN location in Encinitas on April 11, 2001. With the vision of creating long-lasting and successful salons, Kharsa invested in spreading the message of smart tanning. "Our mission at iTAN is this: Make the world a better place one tan at a time, for the benefit of our stakeholders: our customers, our employees, our vendors, our investors and our communities. Everything we do is measured against that."

Kharsa's passion for helping people live better has paved the way for iTAN to be voted the A-List Best Tanning Salon in San Diego for the past three years in a row. After recently celebrating iTAN's 10 year Tanniversary, Kharsa looks forward to an even brighter future.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Hansen, Miss iTAN 2012! Elizabeth will be featured in the Miss iTAN photo shoot, iTAN advertisements, promotions, events and many more exciting opportunities. This year was the biggest Miss iTAN event in iTAN's history and we want to thank all of our customers, friends and family for making this a reality.

iTAN recently launched its annual iMAN competition, which recognizes confident guys who are proud to be toned and tan. The ideal iMAN is loyal to the iTAN brand and seeks to promote active and healthy living throughout Southern California. The winner of iMAN enjoys an iTAN modeling portfolio, prize package including a full year of iTAN services and the opportunity to be featured in all iTAN advertising and events.
